The fifth wave of pandemic continues to be severe and has been making significantly impacted on ordinary citizens, challenging their daily lives in different aspects. The pandemic has posted an even bigger impact on the living of underprivileged. Many low-income people live from hand to mouth. They do not only face difficulties to feed their families, but also encounter a huge burden from purchasing anti-pandemic supplies.
Lion Club of Central makes every effort to provide anti-epidemic materials and a variety of food to support the underprivileged and those affected through Yang Memorial Methodist Social Service. A group of Lion members and volunteer friends have packed 3,000 bags of anti-epidemic materials and emergency food supplies in two days, which worth more than $300,000 would be distributed to 3,000 families, benefiting over 12,000 people.
