At the beginning of year 2006, the Board of Directors from Lions Club of Central adopted to establish “Lions Club of Central Charity Foundation Limited”. It aimed to consolidate all donations from the community and use the proceeds to help elderly and needy. It also enabled donors to get tax relief by donating to our Foundation.

In 2023-2024 Lionistic Year, Foundation supported wide range of service projects of our club, District 303 and other NGOs with donation of HK$855,812 including: –

1. We allocated $210,743 to hold a theme project for Youth – Flying Youth including “Hong Kong·I’m Brilliant for You!” Charity Concert, co-organised with Chong Lap (H.K.) Co Ltd project – Special Olympics Family Support Network Family One Day Trip, Wong Tai Sin Community Program To Celebrate The Mid-Autumn Festival And National Day, Lions Clubs International Ho Tak Sum Primary School Open Day – Your Future Dream High, Hong Kong young people’s understanding of the development and opportunities in the Greater Bay Area, co-organised with Cordis Hotel service – Ebenezer New Hope School Christmas Party and Henan Love Express and Eye Care Service Tour;
2. Donated HK$500,000 to the Nursing Home for the Elderly located in Zhaoqing of the Helping Hand Association;
3. Allocated $31,801 to support the Lions Club of Central and Chong Lap (HK) Co., Ltd. to hold Distribution of necessities to homeless people;
4. We donated $26,842 to the elderly services – Ta Kwu Ling Kei Lok Fraud Prevention Talk cum Elderly Party and Eye Screeing Service at Helping Hand Po Lam Jockey Club Housing for the Elderly;
5. Allocated $8,626 to co-organize with Chong Lap (HK) Co., Ltd, Food Distribution Service at Tung Chung;
6. Donate a total of $40,800 to The Association of Hong Kong Central & Western District, Ebenezer New Hope School, The Hong Kong Liver Foundation and Sportcanheal852 for supporting their activities or service projects. As well as supported $7,964 for Lions/Leo Clubs, and other Lions Clubs;
7. Supporting Lions Clubs International D303 Hong Kong and Macao, China Services including Lions Charity Fun Run for $10,000, Lions Sister Schools Scheme for $5,000, 3ON3 All Hong Kong Student BasketballTournament $5,000, $5,000 to Lions International Youth Exchange Programme, Life Game for Teenagers $5,000 and Zone I joint service for $2,000;
8. Donation of US$50 from each club’s member to Lions Clubs International Foundation, become a 100/100 Club
