At the beginning of year 2006, the Board of Directors from Lions Club of Central adopted to establish “Lions Club of Central Charity Foundation Limited”. It aimed to consolidate all donations from the community and use the proceeds to help elderly and needy. It also enabled donors to get tax relief by donating to our Foundation.

In 2022-2023 Lionistic Year, Foundation supported wide range of service projects of our club, District 303 and other NGOs with donation of HK$579,875 including: –

1. We allocated $228,956 to hold a theme project for Families – Reading Improves Lives with Poon Choi Feast for the elderly;
2. Donation of HK$150,000 to Lord Grace Service Society Limited to support its operating expenses;
3. Allocated $61,351 to support the Lions Club of Central and Chong Lap (HK) Co., Ltd. to hold meal distribution activities in various districts under The Neighbourhood Advice-Action Council;
4. We donated $29,494 to co-organize a series of elderly services with WTS Youth Development Network, Kowloon City Baptist Church Neighbourhood Elderly Centre and Sha Tau Kok Ta Ku Ling Kei Lok Community Association;
5. Allocated $8,591 to support Hong Kong Neuro-muscular Disease Association,, St. Paul’s College Foundation, and Benji’s Centre’s charity activities;
6. Donate a total of $32,000 to Lions/Leo Clubs, and other Lions Clubs for supporting their activities or service projects;
7. Supporting Lions Clubs International D303 Hong Kong and Macao, China Services including Lions Charity Fun Run for $10,000, Lions Sister Schools Scheme for $5,000, 3ON3 All Hong Kong Student BasketballTournament $5,000, $5,000 to Lions International Youth Exchange Programme, Peace Poster Contest & Zone I X’mas service for $3,983;
8. Donation of US$50 from each club’s member to Lions Clubs International Foundation;
9. Donation of HK$1,500 from each club’s member to Lions Clubs International D303 Hong Kong and Macao, China Services.
