Lions Club of Central Charity Foundation Limited
At the beginning of year 2006, the Board of Directors from Lions Club of Central adopted to establish “Lions Club of Central Charity Foundation Limited”. It aimed to consolidate all donations from the community and use the proceeds to help elderly and needy. It also enabled donors to get tax relief by donating to our Foundation.
In 2009-2010 Lionistic Year, Foundation supported more than 30 service projects of our club, District 303 and other NGOs including:-
- Each member of Lions Club of Central donated to LCIF
- Support Sister School Scheme (D303)
- Support 10th Youth Exchange Essay Writing Competition (D303)
- Support Lions Kidney Educational Centre & Research Foundation
- Sponsor scholarship to Lions Club of Central Xin’an Special Education School
- Donation to Hong Kong and Macau Foundation to relief Taiwan disaster
- Donation to LCIF to relief earthquake of Haiti
- Support 50th anniversary Charity Concert of D303
- Support Hong Kong Liver Foundation to organize X’mas party for Liver Buddies
- Support HKYWCA of Flag Selling Day
- Support service projects or fund raising of other Lions Clubs, Leo Clubs, JCI Hong Kong and NGOs
